Inspired by and named after a fisher’s village in Sonora, Mexico just off the Sea of Cortez, Guaymas is an authentic south of the border dining experience. In the city of Guaymas, villagers journey out to sea at daybreak to fish for giant shrimp. Staying true to this experience, Guaymas boasts all the traditional flavors of Mexican cuisine prepared with the freshest, farm-to-table ingredients. The menu features dishes made from scratch just like the Sea of Cortez locals prepare them, from the grilled camarones gigantes and fresh ceviche to homemade tortillas and tamales. Additionally, regional dishes not typically seen on this side of the border have become local favorites.
Located in the idyllic town of Tiburon, right off Main Street and just across the San Francisco Bay, Guaymas waterfront restaurant is open seven days a week. We are just a bike, hike, drive and ferry ride away from San Francisco. On a nice day, dine out on our patio and take in the best views tiburon has to offer, from the San Francisco skyline to Angel Island and Alcatraz. Established over 40 years ago, some menu items still remain the same since our opening. Today, Guaymas has maintained the long-held recipes brought from the south, keeping the same authentic flavors while also adding a little fun with a bar menu of tequilas, margaritas, beers, wines and aqua frescas to complement the dishes.
